The 2019 American Music Awards (AMA) is scheduled for November 24, 2019, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Taylor Swift is scheduled to be honored as the artist of the decade during the live show. She is also scheduled to perform.

Swift has won more AMAs than any other performer this decade. The ‘King Of Pop’ Michael Jackson holds the record with 24 wins.

Swift has also won more AMAs than any other female artist with 23.

In 2014, Swift was honored with the Dick Clark Award for Excellence, and she was the winner four times for artist of the year.

Swift has also been nominated in five categories at the AMA, including artist of the year, favorite pop/rock female artist and favorite adult contemporary artist.

Her smash hit “You Need to Calm Down” is up for favorite music video. Also, her album ‘Lover’ is nominated in the favorite pop/rock album category.

Mark Bacco, executive vice-president at Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement: “Taylor’s impact on music this decade is undeniable, and her performances on the American Music Awards have been truly spectacular. We are thrilled to honor her as our artist of the decade and cannot wait for her to blow everyone away with an epic, career-spanning performance unlike any other!”

Post Malone is the most nominated artist with seven. Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish both have six nominations.

Swift and Lil Nas X have five nominations each, and Billy Ray Cyrus, Khalid, and Ella Mai have four nominations.
