Hunter Biden’s laptop repairman spoke out recently on damages he’s suffered since the days leading up to the 2020 election, including harassment and financial ruin.

John Paul Mac Isaac was forced to close his shop in Wilmington, DE, and flee to reside with his family in Lakewood, CO just days after the election, he told the New York Post. “I was getting a lot of death threats,” Mac Isaac reported. “I had to have a Wilmington trooper parked in front of my shop all the time.”

Mac Isaac was under severe scrutiny for alerting the FBI that he was in possession of Biden’s laptop since April 2019 and that there were a number of communications and files that connected Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s son to unscrupulous business arrangements.

“There were multiple situations where people came in and you could tell they were not there to have a computer fixed,” Mac Isaac said. “And if there were not other people in the shop, I don’t know what would have happened. I was having vegetables, eggs, dog sh*t thrown at the shop every morning.”

While picking up odd jobs to get by in Colorado, Mac Isaac learned that the defamation lawsuit he had filed against Twitter over being labeled a hacker had been dismissed and that he would be expected to foot the bill for their legal fees, a sum of nearly $175,000.

“Bankruptcy looks like my only option,” Mac Isaac said before reporting he had been unable to even get unemployment benefits in December 2020. He received no responses after continually opening cases and he reportedly had to use his savings to pay bills. Then, in September 2021 he received an invoice from the IRS claiming he owed $57.75 from his 2016 tax return.

The repairman issued a letter to Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) in December 2021 shortly after paying the remittance to the IRS.

“I would hate to think that I was singled out in a politically motivated attack,” Mac Isaac wrote to the senator representing the home state of President Joe Biden. “If a state agency was weaponized to punish a perceived political enemy, the country has a right to know.”

Shortly after the letter was sent he began to receive the unemployment benefits that he was owed, though he believes he was shorted by several thousand dollars. “I think it looks rather fishy,” Mac Isaac said of how everything has played out. “I have been punished for my actions on so many levels both to hurt me personally and to set an example for anyone else that might try to blow the wrong whistle.”

Mac Isaac said he has written a book about his experience but has been unable to find a publisher willing to take the manuscript. The harassment has started again now that Ukraine is central in the news again.

“In my community initially, I was being labeled a stooge for the Russians,” Mac Isaac said. “Lately, since the invasion of Ukraine, I’ve been getting that label renewed, you know, a fascist Russian stooge and Putin thanks me for my service.”

Despite the struggles that he has endured, Mac Isaac stated he wouldn’t change his initial response to seeing the contents of the laptop. “If I had the chance to do it again, I would absolutely do it again. I was raised since 9/11 to believe if you see something you say something.”
