Ohio congressman Jim Jordan has listed the investigations that House Republicans should lead if they regain a majority in November’s midterms.

Speaking to Just The News during a pre-State of the Union media day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Jordan outlined three inquiries that a potential GOP-controlled House of Representatives should prioritize.

The first investigation suggested by Jordan, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, was into “all the lies [and] the misinformation, the disinformation” from Dr. Anthony Facui and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“That is because they knew from the get-go [coronavirus] came from the lab, likely came from a lab, gain of function likely done, and our tax dollars were used,” Jordan said.

Jordan has long pushed the theory that the coronavirus originated from a lab in Wuhan, China.

On Saturday, The New York Times reported on the findings of two separate studies which both pointed to a live animal market as being the origins of the virus which has killed nearly six million people worldwide.

While sharing a screengrab of The New York Times headline, Jordan dismissed the report on Monday.

He tweeted: “These aren’t new facts or new studies. This ‘new’ info is from the same crew that told Fauci it came from a lab but suspiciously changed their tune and were rewarded with a 9 million dollar grant.”

Jordan said the second investigation should be looking into the record-breaking number of people illegally entering the country at the Southern border.

“I mean, this is intentional, this is deliberate, there’s no other logical conclusion you can reach,” Jordan suggested. “So we have to investigate the border situation, two million illegals crossing our border in one year, just wrong.”

Jordan’s third suggested investigation “weaponization” of the Department of Justice and “parts of government to go specifically against parents.”

Jordan was making reference to Attorney General Merrick Garland announcing that the FBI would be investigating “a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff” last October.

The announcement was made after the National School Boards Association (NSBA) wrote a letter to President Joe Biden suggesting parents and others who act aggressively during school board meetings on COVID-19 restrictions and the teaching of critical race theory should be considered a form of “domestic terrorism.”

A number of GOP lawmakers have also demanded answers following reports that the NSBA letter to Biden was written on behest of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

“There are others, but those are the top three” Jordan said. “And all three of those have connections to the Judiciary Committee, which is the committee I get the privilege to serve.”

Jordan has been contacted for further comment.
