Desperate To Keep Their Name In The News, Variety Announces In 2021 Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Hired Fara Taylor As Head Of Marketing For Archewell

Variety has announced that in September 2021, Archewell, the charity and media production company founded by Prince Harry and his wife, has quietly hired former Sony Pictures Entertainment exec Fara Taylor as head of marketing.

This was the same time that the couple hired Rebecca Sananes as Head of Audio For Spotify, and Nishika Kumble as senior vice president of scripted TV for Archewell Productions, and the couple announced Elton John’s husband David Furnish would serve as an executive producer Meghan Markle’s new animated Netflix series Pearl.

Prior to Archewell, Taylor spent more than 11 years at Sony Pictures, most recently as VP of global marketing partnerships.

She joined Beverly Hills-based Archewell in September 2021, according to the company. Taylor oversees all global marketing efforts for its three divisions: Archewell Productions, which has an exclusive deal with Netflix; Archewell Audio, which has an exclusive audio content pact with Spotify; and the not-for-profit Archewell Foundation.

As a movie marketing exec, Taylor worked on dozens of campaigns including those in the Spider-Man and James Bond franchises. She began her career at the management consulting firm Accenture and subsequently worked in marketing roles at Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Animation. Taylor is a founding member of I am a voter., a nonprofit civic engagement organization.

Since signing an allegedly multi-million dollar deal in 2020, Archewell has announced two projects set up at Netflix: the animated series “Pearl,” about a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by influential women in history; and “Heart of Invictus,” a docuseries about the global adaptive sports competition founded by Prince Harry.

For Spotify, Archewell’s first podcast is “Archetypes,” hosted by Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. The series is slated to debut this summer, a year and a half after the couple originally announced their deal with Spotify. On the podcast, Markle will speak with historians, experts, and guests to discuss — and “subvert” — historical stereotypes of women, according to the podcast’s trailer.

To date, one 33 minute holiday podcast was submitted in 2020.

Harry and his wife raised less than $50,000 for their Archewell charity in its first year, spending more money on legal fees to dissolve their original ‘Sussex Royal’ UK foundation.

There is no record regarding how much money Archewell Productions spent or made.

  1. The title of this article is misleading. Why are they desperate to keep their name in the news? Why not just title it as they hired someone. Doesn’t start off objective at all.

  2. Megan Markle is considered to be an attention getter, a social climber and a trouble maker by many who know her. I only know she is a compulsive trouble maker. Most don’t like her and all are tired of the constant attention she and Harry receive. He is a weak and troubled person and she has caused his sad beak with his own family. A terrible accomplishment.

  3. For people so anxious to leave the UK so they can have their privacy, they are equally desperate to keep their names, faces, and activities in the public eye.

  4. Why are the Royal press and PR’s suddenly focused their articles on Harry & Meghan?
    They wanted to divert the scandals and bad press the Royal family is getting nowadays.?
    William & Kate disastrous Caribbean tour, William’s comment about ” never complain, never explain” Royal family motto being outdated ( it was never outdated with Harry & Meghan?) The Queen’s sole decision to let Prince Andrew escort her ( against advice from the Firm &Charles& William?Leave Harry & Meghan they are living peacefully and working hard for their family
