Music and Fashion combine as an incredible host of International stars descend on Birmingham for fashion showcase.

January is set to hit with a bang, at least in Birmingham as the buzz around the city is all about the G Salvatore fashion showcase event taken place this weekend at the M-Club.  When most are still waking up from the excesses of Christmas and New year it seems Stevie Eagle E of Shlepp Entertainment was busy planning yet another great event.  This time it is not the Birmingham Inspiration Awards or Top UK Model 2017 but a fashion showcase for designer G Salvatore This is a unique event, unlike any other fashion showcase we have ever seen in the way it combines fashion and music with an incredible lineup of international stars, top models, and celebrity hosts.

Urban Poet Stephan Dante hits home with Powerful and heartfelt ‘Grenfell Lament’

The UK is still reeling from the events of Grenfell Tower.  Several artists have produced tracks in tribute to those who lost their lives in this tragedy.  The latest artist to wade into these sensitive waters is urban poet, singer and songwriter Stephan Dante.  Her song ‘Grenfell Lament’ is a powerful yet heart-wrenching poem come song with a classical background sweetened with a smidgen of gospel.

We live in an age where you need to little to cause offence to someone else. In fact one would almost be forgiven for thinking that there is little one can honestly say that will not offend someone somewhere in the media or even in everyday life. You can blame this on the fact that we become a more clued up and aware society, or you can put it down to the simple fact that people these days are far more fragile take almost everything to heart and cannot stomach any type of critique or disagreement, so everyone has to stay in the safe zone of ‘Political correctness’. Whatever your thoughts I believe that England rugby fans chanting (As they do) Swing Low sweet Chariot’ to spur on the England Rugby team at games is no reason for anyone to get their ‘Knickers in a twist’ about.

The Great Al Jarreau dies.

Another musical great passes as Al Jarreau dies at 76. We have had to get used to great talents falling away in the last few years, but in truth we have to wonder if any of these great ones can even remotely be replaced.
