Since 1982 Steve Etherington has had a successful and varied career that ranks him as a ‘first choice’ musician for international artists and bands & has taken him across the world to every type of ‘live show’ environment from Theatres to Festival stages & everything in between. Steve is a respected musical director, composer, producer & arranger.

He owns his own busy recording studio ‘Landmark Recording’ and has produced and played on countless tracks encompassing every style of music from: Shane Mcgowan (Pogues), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) The Sisters Of Mercy (Merciful release) to Classic acts such as The Rubettes, Modern Romance, Hot Chocolate, & and contemporary Dance artistes such as C&C Music Factory, Beenie Man, Diane Charlemagne (Urban Cookie Crew/Moby/Goldie) to name but a few.

Steve is a proud member of the ‘elite’ show business fraternity The Grand Order of Water Rats which raises money for many charities.

Steve has written songs that have appeared on The Pop Charts, Rock ‘Epics’, Commercials, Jingles and as a ‘contrast’ Children’s Television programmes such as: Postman Pat, Noddy, Bill & Ben, Fireman Sam, The Mr. Men, Rupert Bear & Jim Jam and Sunny.

Steve’s music is regularly played by ITV and BBC Channels.

Steve has Co-written and produced songs for diverse artists such as: The Cheeky Girls, Chico, PJ Proby, The Rubettes, Sailor, The Sweet.

Throughout his career, he has performed, produced and composed in all styles. Although primarily a ‘rock’​ guy his alter-ego name is ‘S’ethrington’​ which is a ‘dancy’​ alternative to his better-known works of Rock, Metal, Pop & Classical music.

Steve is the co-founder of Symphonic Ibiza, which celebrates Ibiza over the past 30 years with a live Orchestra, Vocalists, and DJ.

Steve’s dance creations include ‘Everybody Dance Now’​ which he renamed ‘Give Me The Music’​ (Slipped My Disco remix) which was favorably reviewed by Mix magazine. He also made an ‘Ibiza’​ version on which Steve played Flamenco & Heavy Metal guitar.

Recently, Steve has recorded Dance Versions of Owner Of A Lonely Heart, Genetic Engineering,  and with John Richardson of The Rubettes a 2018 version of The Rubettes Sugar Baby Love.  Plus two Christmas songs. An original with dance mixes and a dance version of the holiday favorite White Christmas

He also has two songs on the Charity Record for the California Camp Fire – Sobel Promotions Presents Tears Aren’t Enough which features songs by Boy George, East 17, John Richardson, Nicki French, and others.  The releases are on Sobel Nation Records.

Steve is incredibly busy and has many projects and new music coming out in 2019.  Watch this space!
