UK rising star Stephan Dante shocked many by winning best Rnb/Rap song with her viral track ‘Nails Did’ at the Akademia awards in the USA.

What makes this even more impressive is the genre in which she won.  Considering thousands of Rap and RnB acts from the land of Rap and RnB; America, must have submitted their tracks in probably the biggest musical genre in the Awards, Stephan Dante a UK Urban Poet and singer who sings with a distinctly British accent and swagger winning is highly unexpected and testimony to the artist and the song itself.

The Akademia Awards is a unique monthly Awards in multiple genre and winners are presented to the music industry in the USA including radio and TV.  This type of exposure could be critical for Stephan Dante.

Quoting Akademia on their website about Stephan Dante’s ‘Nails Did’:

‘This foot-stomped homage to pedicures and bent English has the kind of self-substantiated style required for uncynical digestion by today’s cooler-than-thou youth.’

‘Nails Did’is due for release on the 25. 01. 2016 on Shlepp Records on all digital platforms as well in some unique new formats and perhaps vinyl we have been told.
